I am at home today and wanted to play BF:BC2 ... Failed to connect to EA online ...again!
Maybe I put on my boots and go for trekking instead ... Epic Fail, EA!

Yeah, I still have the problem that I can't connect to servers, I have to try like 10 - 20 to eventually connect.

Catch a plane and ride to PA, USA and you can game with me until EA figures out the EU problem.

I was able to connect later, but now my friends-list is empty again. So don't wonder, if I ask again My rank is still there - *phew* Would be fun to travel to PA for playing BF:BC2, but can you imagine what your homeland-security would say, if I answer "I am on the way to kick some russian basterds ass and kill some hispanic speaking mercenaries!" Hm ... maybe I get a greencard for that answer -or a funny night in a PA jail

So there's been a lot of tweets talking about the connection problems. Looks like they've been trying to resolved things, and perhaps reset some friends by accident. Source: http://twitter.com/OfficialBFBC2Quote: BFBC2 PC server R6 is going to server providers now. This server version should stop all the PB INIT errors that have been happening. EA servers are currently down stopping login to a number of EA games. EA is investigating and will be back online as soon as possible. EA Servers are back online now. However EA servers will be reset tomorrow morning at 8:00 GMT/9:00 CET/Midnight PST for maintenance. EA servers are currently down for maintenance, they'll be back online as soon as possible. For more details check: http://bit.ly/cRZxGzEA maintenance has now finished, you can now get back in game and get your morning fix of Battlefield Bad Company 2.

EA Maintenance, now with extra added hardware Quote: Tomorrow, 12th March, and Saturday, 13th March at 8:00GMT/9:00 CET:12:00 (midnight) PST, EA will take the servers down, this time we will come up with even more hardware with more capacity to handle all the BFBC2 traffic. Once the maintenance is complete you will experience an improvement to your online experience.
This will be extended maintenance to allow the new hardware to be installed and affect all three platforms (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360). Since launch a week ago, BFBC2 has already put EA servers through the following stress:
* The 4 different soldier types have gathered a score of more than 34 Billion. * There's been more than 400M kills made. * 1.3M roadkills * Squads and Teams have assisted each other to 6.2 Billion points.
Now we are adding more capacity to let you smash those numbers multiple times over in the weeks to come.
